BY MR. BOYCE HOLLEMAN:	Thank	you,	Pam,
and Your Honor and Judge Russell, the honoree. I'm delighted and honored to be here. I spent so many of those 19 years that I spent as District Attorney in this courtroom. It was a little larger than it is now, and the windows used to be open and every now and then a bird would get in and fly around and disturb the proceedings. I tried the Cowboy Morris case here three times, and about the only two friends that I had left in Bay St. Louis after the third trial was Dan Russell and Sam Favre. But it brings back many memories and an honor to be here and pay tribute to a very close friend.
1965 I got a call and Dan said, "I want you to go to Washington and represent me at the senate committee hearings." And I knew that he had been appointed to United States District Judge, and so I said, "Well why do you want me?" He said, "Well because you'll be cheap." He meant you'll be free. "And I'll pay your airline ticket." I said,
"Well, you're right. I'll be cheap." So we go to Washington. And I thought, you know,
