2 00 TREES FOR OUR NATION'S 2 00th BIRTHDAY
The 19’75_19?6 Bicentennial Program of the B^y-W^velnnd harden Club wa? a roadside improvement and tree-planting project with the over-all thQme "200 trees for our nation's 200th birthday". This commu.n ‘ ty-w ide ht'op^" was desi.gn°d to try to replace pome of the many tr^oo which were de-stro%red v,,r the 1 Q6° hurricane, "Camille".
Special emphasis was given to U.S.Highway 90* "our front door to the world", involving 5 miles of double lanes through ^ay St. T.-ouis and Waveland., This is the beginning o-** the scenic drive of the r r ssi ss i npi On!-*’ Coast and we did our best to ^ake it truly beau+iful fcr our Bicentennial Celebrate op and hope it will become more beautiful ip future.
